The Difference Between The Expectations And Realities Of Grief

When Rachel’s not coaching working mothers or listening to an endless soundtrack of podcasts, she’s hanging out along with her eight and 5 yr old daughtersâ€"who rock her world. When she advised her older daughter, Jane, that she was a coachâ€"explaining that other working moms tell her their hopes and dreams and he or she helps them make their goals come true, Jane seemed her lifeless within the eyes and mentioned, “Mom, that’s not a job.” Since then, Jane has learned that girls and mothers can run their own successful companies and that folks can change their careersâ€"even at 40 (which to Jane is very, very old)! Rachel is most herself when she’s connecting folks to one another, to issues, to whatever they could need and in consequenceâ€"she is the Kevin Bacon of her group. Her associates affectionately name this phenomenon, “The Rachel Garrett Explosion.” Rachel lives together with her husband and daughters in Park Slope, Brooklyn and is a proud lifelong New Yorke r. The Difference Between The Expectations And Realities Of Grief In April, my daughter will rejoice her eleventh birthdayâ€"the milestone I’ve anticipated since she was born. This May will mark 33 years since my dad and mom died in a automobile accident. I was 11. In the past year, the construct up toward this present day and the expectations of who I may turn into in the face of this second have prompted me to go inward and sit with my fears. Intimate data of an 11-year-old mind and heart will make me understand how unformed I was. I will discover there are parts of me that gained’t heal. I gained’t know the way to parent a toddler past the age I was parented. In the past year most of my conversations around my lingering grief have come to the floor via this topic, this experience that has yet to occur. With associates, a support group of motherless moms and with my husbandâ€"there was a figuring out that an anticipated bolt of lightning was about to strike. And I was waiting. While I won't ever know if shining a light on this second change d my expertise of itâ€"now that I’m hereâ€"I’m in awe of how completely totally different it is than the visions etched in my thoughts. Instead of seeing an 11-12 months-old who's unformed, there is a younger lady who's succesful, expressive, curious, assured and strong. Even if I had a fraction of the desire and hope she has, I get why I would have made itâ€"and did. We have a love for writing in common, and with each poem she weaves after which reads aloud to me (for the 27th time), I notice I was lucky to have a way to channel my emotions and ideas and fears, past the emotional readiness of my pals. Living with an nearly 11-year-old is reminding me that there are components of me which have yet to heal. This is a second to make use of my compassion for each of us to are likely to this a part of the wound. While I wasn’t really parented after age eleven, I was liked. And that love may be simply enough to fill the deficit so I can create one thing fully new in relation to bei ng a mom to my ladies. I’m doing it my own means, which given my character, is how I might need carried out it no matter how my life unfolded. But now that it’s the one path ahead, it looks like a method to carry my dad and mom with me as loving witnesses instead of the figuring out guides that others may have. Looking at my almost birthday girl, I know this plan has labored pretty damn properly thus far, so I’m in. I'm a coach, a wife, a life-lengthy Joni Mitchell fan, and a individuals connector, but by far the job I’m most happy withâ€"is being a mom to my two daughters, Jane and Roxanne. I provide Career and Leadership Coaching to girls after the life-altering and thoughts-blowing milestone of turning into a mother. How To Respond When Someone Shares A Job On LinkedIn

Step by step instructions to Respond When Someone Shares A Job On LinkedIn Step by step instructions to investigate the individual who posted a vocation on LinkedIn In your hurry to react when somebody shares an occupation on LinkedIn, would you say you are harming your odds of getting a reaction? You will probably observe more representatives and individuals sharing openings for work later on given the tight work showcase and the expansion in worker referral programs. You just have one opportunity to establish the best first connection! Gain proficiency with the most ideal approach to react to somebody when you see them sharing an occupation. Heres a case of what I mean. You see somebody post an opening for work on LinkedIn and you quickly remark on the people announcement saying youre intrigued and might want more data about the activity. This isn't the best methodology. It may work, however it may not. Individuals are occupied and this message doesnt help the individual stand apart nor does it clarify why they are keen on the job or organization. Your system and others can see your remarks The remark above will appear in your systems feed on LinkedIn and they will see that you are searching for an occupation. This is fine in the event that you are transparently looking, notwithstanding, on the off chance that you are utilized, you most likely dont need everybody in your system (or manager) to see this kind of remark. Consider this. If somebody somehow happened to take a gander at your LinkedIn movement (from your profile) and see a string of these kinds of exercises, what might it say about you? Urgent maybe. This is one motivation behind why you need to be nice about which posts you like and remark on. You need to show your best resources. So as opposed to shooting a fast remark or informing the individual with an unremarkable note, you are in an ideal situation doing a touch of examination first. You may get the hang of something significant about the individual that will help create a message that produces a reaction. The most effective method to investigate the individual who posted an occupation on LinkedIn Survey their LinkedIn profile As you research their profile, you are searching for data that will assist you with finding a common intrigue or shared understanding. Peruse the synopsis. What data would they say they are sharing about themselves? Have they remembered any connections for their rundown? Assuming this is the case, audit connections. They may even rundown their email address in their outline. Where accomplished they work? What school(s) did they join in? What causes or outside interests do they notice? Take a gander at their action area on LinkedIn. What do they like or remark on? Have they composed any posts/articles on LinkedIn? Provided that this is true, survey the articles. Take a gander at their contact area. Do they list an email address or other online life records or sites? In the event that you cannot see their profile when you search on LinkedIn, utilize the web to discover their profile and you might have the option to see more data. Quest for the individual on the web Regardless of whether you had the option to discover and see the people profile on LinkedIn, you need to perceive what other data is out there. Enter their name in the inquiry bar and see what shows up. Search for online networking profiles, notices of their name in the news, articles theyve composed, introductions conveyed or whatever else. Navigate on each connection on the principal page of list items to perceive what is referenced about this individual you are researching. Yes, go down the bunny gap and discover any information you can reference when you connect or meet the individual. Search for an email address Enter [first name] [last name] email in your web search bar. Watch out for results that go to an assistance that needs to charge you to get the data. You are searching for connections to the organization page or other valid sources. Or on the other hand have a go at speculating the companys email group. For instance, if the addresses on the organization site are all in the format firstinitial.lastname@company.com, Jane Does would be j.doe@company.com. Heres more assistance on the most proficient method to discover email addresses by Donna Svei, Avid Careerist. Follow and connect with via web-based networking media channels Time is of the quintessence, however before you send your message, follow the organization on LinkedIn and some other web-based social networking profile they have (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and so forth.). While youre at it, re-share a couple of fascinating notices you find. Label the organization and include your own message regarding why you found the update fascinating. Presently go do something very similar for the individual you need to contact. In any case, ensure the individual is as yet dynamic on the channels (when was the last time they shared an update?) Follow, similar to, remark or offer the most significant data. Dont go over the edge. Simply select two or three updates. Send an email Your most obvious opportunity with regards to getting an ideal reaction to your effort is sending an email. Most individuals don't sign into LinkedIn every now and again. Everybody browses email. On the off chance that you have no other alternative, at that point you can send the individual an InMail (in the event that you the individual is a third level association on LinkedIn, at that point youll should be a paid part on LinkedIn to do this). Heres what your email may state: Hi Jane, I saw you shared an opening at your organization for an Innovation Manager. In investigating [XYX Company], I was dazzled with the most current line of items discharged in July. It appears as though they got incredible exposure. Your article about the new product offering created some buzz, congrats. I couldn't imagine anything better than to talk with you quickly about how I may stand apart as a possibility for the Innovation Manager job. Might you be able to save a couple of moments not long from now for a short conversation? I plan to go after the job yet any knowledge you could give would be valued. Much appreciated ahead of time. Your name Your telephone number Your email Your LinkedIn URL On the off chance that you dont get a reaction inside 4-5 days, you will need to send a delicate update. You can likewise give connecting with the individual a shot Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. To send a delicate update, forward the message you sent with a refreshed headline and starting message. Your expectation is that the individual will react and give you tips to apply or fills in a portion of the spaces about what the organization actually needs. US Bill Would Make Employer Requests for Facebook Access Illegal - Workology

US Bill Would Make Employer Requests for Facebook Access Illegal Protecting Employee Facebook Social Network Privacy Protecting Employee Facebook Social Network Privacy The American public went gaga in March of this year after the media reported a growing trend by employers who are requesting Facebook password and user ID access during their hiring and interview process.  These requests for special access to social networks not only are an invasion of privacy for the potential employee but leave the employer vulnerable as they now have access to protected information as per Title VII.  These protected classes and their information are illegal when used as part of a hiring, promotion, or disciplinary process.  For those that do when it comes to social networks, I call this social media discrimination. Outside of accessing to a job seekers Facebook, companies can find a great deal of protected information online.  Information about a persons sexual preference as the EEOC considers transgender as a protected class.  Companies have access to health information like a female job seekers sonogram photos or if an employee likes a Facebook Page for cancer survivors. SNOPA: Social Networking Online Protection Act The public outcry and controversy surrounding online privacy especially when it comes to social networks has led to legislation in many states who are proposing bills that would make employers requesting social networking passwords and IDs in violation of the law.  States like California, Maryland, and New York have began crafting state legislation protecting job seeker and employee privacy.  Last week, Representative, Elliot Engel introduced  a federal bill called the Social Networking Online Protection Act.  SNOPA, H.R. 5050 would make it illegal for employers to request passwords and other private information from employees and job seekers on social networks.  Employers would not be able to discipline, terminate, or deny employment for those who do not provide such information.  If they did, they would be subject to civil penalties  $10,000. Once SNOPA or a SNOPA-like bill passes, employees and job seekers need to educate themselves on what is protected.  Just like being asked an illegal interview question, you need to be prepped and prepared with your answer.  And in my opinion that answer should be, Im sorry Hiring Manager.  I dont feel comfortable answering that question or providing access to my private social network information. Youve Graduated, Whats Next - Walrath Recruiting, Inc.

Youve Graduated, Whats Next - Walrath Recruiting, Inc. If youre reading this, it means youve likely  graduated college recently, so congratulations! You worked through the long nights, balanced your social and student life, and managed to get passing marks. These are all fantastic achievements!  Riding the wave of success can be extremely beneficial to hit the ground running in the job market. When many graduates begin looking for job opportunities, theyre unsure of where to start, and failing to be proactive right away can be a big misstep if youre someone who is easily caught in a lazy daily routine.   Use Your Momentum Right after graduating, youre accustomed  to sitting in class, doing homework, and generally dedicating time to completing tasks. Continuing this practice after graduation is extremely helpful. Instead of writing essays and discussion board posts, now youll be writing cover letters and updating your resume. The temptation to take time off is extremely powerful, and its not a bad idea to take a break for a week or two to celebrate. However, if you feel like youll lose momentum doing this, try to consistently  be working, even if its only an hour or two a day. If youre a late sleeper, get in the routine of waking up early and starting to look for jobs. Once you land a job, youll already be adapted to waking up early, and the transition wont be as harsh  when you wake up at 8 am. Its okay to take some time off. Catch up on Game of Thrones or take that trip youve always wanted to, but dont make it a habit and fall into a bad routine. Get Some Experience If you havent already, try and land an internship, paid or not. If youre someone who already has an internship under your  belt from college, skip this paragraph and move on to the next. For those of you that havent though, consider getting an internship while you continue to look for jobs. This will allow you to get experience during a time where your search will probably be its slowest. If you perform very well during it, impressing your boss during an internship is a great way to get your foot in the door. While a job offer isnt guaranteed with an internship the experience is, as long as you work hard.  Finding something in your field will be rewarding when you  realize you now have a year of experience, allowing you to apply for the job youve always wanted. Use Your Connections Another important tip: do not judge yourself based on the successes of others. You may see fellow classmates land jobs right out of college, or only a month or two following. While its easy to start criticizing yourself and wonder what skills you lack, remember every case is different, and you cant judge your success against other graduates. There are a number of resources you can utilize in order to help your job search which you may not realize. You may have continued to hear how important networking is during your degree, and now is when it comes into play. Reaching out to other alumni who have established themselves in the workforce can be extremely valuable, even if you just ask  for advice to break into the job market in the field you share. You also may not realize just how far your network extends. This includes friends, family, and coworkers. You wont know  that your Uncles cousin has worked in your field for 10 years and is looking for a recent graduate to fill a position unless you ask. While this is an extreme example, you will certainly be surprised who you are connected to by only a few degrees of separation. After doing some investigation, getting the job at your ideal company may be less out of reach if  you realize you have a contact there already. A young professional on the road to success after reading our blog posts. The Power of Positive Thinking Like most things in life, your success will vary depending on your attitude. Having a positive outlook on your search and continuing to be excited and motivated to land a new job will do wonders for you. Inversely, feeling like youll never be good enough to land a job will destroy your urge to keep searching, and will only go downhill. There is plenty more advice to be offered, and there is a (nearly) endless wealth of knowledge in the vault of our past blogs, which I encourage you to seek out if youre looking for a little more advice. Lastly, best of luck to all of you, and we hope to see you on your way to work soon!

Landing a Job in the Fashion Industry - Margaret Buj - Interview Coach

Landing a Job in the Fashion Industry - Margaret Buj - Interview Coach Whether you’re looking for your first job or thinking of making a change, it can be tempting to stay within your chosen field of experience. But to truly keep your options open, you need to consider two things: all jobs come with a wealth of transferable skills, and a company’s industry does not always dictate its career opportunities. It’s important to remember that your experience can help you land a position in an industry you do not have a direct background in. The fashion industry employs over half a million people in the UK, and not all of them are cutting edge designers. Behind each clothing company is a team of marketing and PR professionals, web developers, distribution managers and many more people that help the brand operate smoothly from design room innovation to in-store sale. To gain a little more insight into the range of disciplines employed behind the scenes of a fashion retailer, we spoke with three members of staff at bonprix about their career paths, transferable skills and how they landed positions in the fashion industry. Our interviewees are Rosie â€" Offline Campaign Manager, Paul â€" Services Manager and Lydia â€" Project Manager. How did you land your current role and why did you pursue it? Rosie â€" I had four years’ experience working in a couple of marketing roles. I was lucky enough to get a taste of both B2C and B2B companies’ communications. Through that experience, I figured out exactly what my interests and strengths were and what type of environment I wanted to work in. This realisation led me to the role that I am in now and I couldn’t be happier. Paul â€" My first role as a graduate was in a marketing department where I was coordinating direct mail campaigns.   I was identified as someone who had a head for numbers so I was drafted into the analysis team and I’ve done this ever since. Lydia â€" I was given the opportunity to work on a bonprix website migration project which then  led to further opportunities focusing on specific project work. bonprix had a big project on the horizon which involved the migration of a warehouse and customer systems to the UK and I was asked to play the role as Business Change Manager on the project, which I accepted and thoroughly enjoyed. What kind of work experience did you undertake in the past? Rosie â€" Before gaining full-time marketing positions after university I was lucky enough to have had jobs from the age of 16: waitressing, bar work, retail, promotions and stewarding. Paul â€" From the age of 16 I worked in supermarkets and pubs, which gave me a good work ethic and customer focus. Lydia â€" My placement year at university was spent at a nursery and baby company, and by the time I left I was a product expert for their full range of pushchairs and car seats. My work experience allowed me to put into practice some of my learnings but most importantly prepared me for the real world when I completed my degree. What’s the best part of working for bonprix/in fashion? Rosie â€" The best part about working in fashion is that I have a personal interest in the industry. Being able to see how the business works and taking part in activities that all link to a subject that genuinely appeals to me is a real bonus and something that provides great job satisfaction. Paul â€" The team at bonprix are fantastic. As long as you are working with people you like, coming to work can be enjoyable. Lydia â€" It is exciting working for a brand with such great potential. It’s been great seeing bonprix grow in the UK and it’s so exciting to see what the future holds. What would you look for in a potential employee? Rosie â€" A potential employee needs to be passionate about the position, have a clear eagerness to learn and show enthusiasm. If they don’t have any direct experience in the industry then I look for transferable skills, two main ones being a good work ethic and being articulate. Paul â€" Somebody who I’m happy to spend 40 hours of my life each week with and somebody with the aptitude for the job they are going to be doing and a willingness to learn. Lydia â€" Experience is really important to me: what have they done previously and what can they bring to the role. I also think adaptability is a really positive thing to have in any team. Not being able to adapt to change can really hold you back in your career! If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self? Rosie â€" I would try and think about tasks in a more strategic way, but my way of thinking has been developed over time and recognising the journey is a very rewarding exercise. I’d suggest to my younger self to not worry so much and enjoy the opportunities that come my way. Paul â€" Don’t get stressed about things.   Look at your boss â€" if they’re not worried, you don’t have to be. Lydia â€" I probably would have planned my time a bit better and started my university coursework a lot earlier in order to stop that last minute panic. Fail to plan, plan to fail! Fashion is, of course, just one of the many industries you can consider working in. Keep an eye out for positions in which you could use your experience in new and exciting fields, or look for those with strong transferable skills. Not all positions require direct, prior experience, but what they do require is someone passionate, adaptable and ready to make the most of every opportunity they’re given.

As access to stable supplies of spotless, new water psychologists, districts and industry are looking to different sources and the advances to scrub them of salts, minerals, and contaminations. Assembling an effective undertaking requires a large group of task members to move through a scope of administrative, innovative, and correspondence boundaries, ideally following a progression of best practices. Distinguishing and characterizing those practices, just as obstructions, is the objective of industry experts met by ASME to handle the turn of events and usage of mechanical demineralization, or desalination, innovations. The gathering, which met January 28-29 in Washington, D.C., is working along the parameters of a previous gathering entrusted with examining best practices and future bearings of city wastewater reuse by electric utilities. There are similitudes: electric creating stations just as procedure plants or other modern offices require a water flexibly treated to explicit quality. It is important that water experts from the proprietor characterize the water science required and convey that to planned sellers and building development firms. The idea appears to be sufficiently basic yet bunch individuals concurred it doesn't generally happen. What befell the procedure engineer? asked Doug Hubbard, administrator of age science standard and controls for American Electric Power, the goliath Columbus, OH-based electric utility. Who takes proprietorship? Forward assimilation desalination plant, situated at Al Khaluf in Oman. Picture: Starsend/Wikimedia Commons Single out Desalination, with a long history of delivering drinking water from seawater, isn't new. In any case, it is vitality escalated and costly. The Middle East is studded with plants, the biggest to deliver 228 million gallons for every day, utilizing multi-stage blazing and converse assimilation innovation. Film innovation is more current than distallation, with turn around/assimilation being the most broadly utilized framework for desalination in the U.S. It utilizes pressure as a power to drive saline water through semipermeable films, delivering a flood of brackish water and another of clean item water. It fundamentally expels sodium and chloride; nanofiltration is likewise a film procedure that evacuates calcium, magnesium, and sulfates. In the U.S., the most prominent demineralization venture has a place with Carlsbad, CA. The southern California city and San Diego County are being just barely gotten by more significant expenses and diminished volume for drinking water got from northern California and the Colorado River. The exclusive 50,000-gallon-per-day plant will desalinate seawater for drinking water, addressing about 7% of the locale's needs, as per city water authorities. Be that as it may, mechanical clients the nation over rely upon clean water the same amount of, and regularly need their water treated to above government drinking water measures. Members likewise cautioned of expected zero-fluid release prerequisites coming not long from now. In fact, that can mean structure a lake inside the mechanical plant's limits however more frequently it is evaporators, crystalizers, or electrodialysis. All are exorbitant and by and large determined by administrative commitments, regularly in locales where water is rare, making reuse financially savvy. At the Source Distinguishing the properties of the source water and characterizing the nature of the item water are maybe the initial two keys to creating an effective undertaking, concurred workshop individuals. In a perfect world, there ought to be three to five years of information on source water quality to guarantee a legitimate treatment framework. Planning and building a framework with constrained information courts inconvenience: A framework intended to deal with one kind of water could fizzle, or produce an item that bargains the mechanical plant's gear. Subtleties are regularly disregarded in light of the fact that the expense of a water treatment plant is minor contrasted with by and large undertaking costs, said workshop individuals, who noticed that off-the-rack frameworks are frequently suggested by sellers when a designed framework is the better answer. The workshop delivered groupings depicting attributes of effective tasks and hindrances to progress. Members concurred that fruitful activities have the accompanying attributes: Solid structure reason for gulf water quality and adequate quality and amount of bay and release water information, with satisfactory history. Visit and important correspondence among all task members, including the proprietor, arrangement supplier, and design/building firm, conceivably composed into the agreement. The arrangement supplier has demonstrated, effective related knowledge. The proprietor has organized cost, execution, unwavering quality, and operability, an intensive quote dependent on full monetary investigation. Execution details for each bit of hardware are given. Hindrances to progress were found to include: Hazy task targets or mid-steam changes in scope. No administrative drivers to make a desire to move quickly. The proprietor's abandonment of task the board duty. Absence of true understanding by plan experts. Hostile to advancement predisposition. Water ventures not saw as an income enhancer by proprietor's money related staff, a view that frequently brings about a lacking last framework. The gathering will audit the discoveries with the objective of delivering a report to improve best practices and future activities inside the business. What I need is an archive that turns into the business best practice or standard for desalination framework and hardware configuration, said Hubbard. Something that pressures everybody into action to do this right. What I need is a report that turns into the business best practice or standard for desalination framework and gear plan. How to Handle Multiple Jobs on your Resume

How to Handle Multiple Jobs on your Resume Usually, candidates who have had varied job experiences from many different fields or have had very small tenures at different places, find it difficult to include their job history on a resume. They fear that their skipping between jobs could pose a bad impression on the recruiter regarding their reliability. This is true to an extent, as skipping between jobs after small duration does look unreliable. But there are ways to include multiple jobs in a way, so that a candidate looks responsible instead of unreliable. Here are the tips to handle such situations smartly and impressively in resumes: Speak out the reason if the jobs left you: During the time of tough economies, switching between jobs seems practical. After-all, the tough times led you out of the job, and it was not your decision to leave it. Such conditions can be very openly addressed in a resume and if the hiring managers are practical as well, you would not have a problem. Write a functional resume: Dont choose a chronological resume and instead write a functional, targeted one. As such, you can skip the irrelevant work experiences and manage time-discrepancies simply by excluding them. A functional resume will help you to portray your most relevant skills you learned in the prior jobs, the tasks you completed and the responsibilities that were bestowed upon you. As such, you would portray only the experiences relevant to the job youre applying for. Write a task and skill oriented resume: Recruiters are not interested in whether you worked for 5 years or 10. They would consider the experience that is relevant for the job they are offering. If, in a short tenure, you were able to handle responsibilities necessary for the current post, you would be in a better position to a candidate who has a huge experience, but with a different set of tasks and skills. So, create a task-based resume, where the recruiters can easily analyze the tasks you have completed and the skills you have learnt that would help you in the job youre applying for as well. Write about special achievements: Even if you remained at a position for a short tenure and you were able to achieve some exceptional recognition or a promotion, you should very well include it in your resume. Such achievements show that you take no time in getting focused in the job you take and that you are flexible and a quick learner. Including such achievements in the resume can help you in showcasing your ability to smoothly switch from one work environment to another, without taking much time to adjust. These are some resume writing tips that will help you to show yourself in a positive light even if you have changed your jobs very often. If you choose the chronological format for your resume, make sure that you include even the shortest job experiences, even if they were as short as six weeks.

How to Make Resume Writing I Can Adapt Easily

How to Make Resume Writing I Can Adapt EasilyIf you're struggling to make your resume as attractive as it can be, then it is likely that you are wondering how to make it stand out from the rest. For most people, the first thing that jumps to mind when they think about their resume is its appearance. After all, no one wants to have to read the same resume over again, and some people believe that the resume cover letter is the first thing that will catch their eye.Although having a resume cover letter might be the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to your resume, it is not necessarily the only thing that you should include. Your resume, cover letter can easily be improved upon if you know how to do it. You don't want to simply copy the template that the company provides with your resume and expect to get the same results. One thing you may want to change is the length of the first paragraph. It can often look too long, and you may be tempted to cut it down. You can take this idea further by simply taking a few words here and there and putting them together in a creative way to create a concise and striking image of you.A potential employer is likely to go back and read your resume cover letter several times just to see what changes you made to it. They may see it as a sentence structure that lacks focus and doesn't have any real direction. You can even tweak the message a bit. You can create a clearer and more appealing image by making sure that you clearly spell out the important words, such as name, address, and job title. It may seem like bullet points would be the best option for writing a resume cover letter, but bullet points don't work well for resumes because they are too scattered. To make it easier to read, use a grid with lines that you can connect together. This also makes it easier to read your resume cover letter when it is a PDF document.Make sure that you are making the most of the space you have with bullets. Bullet points are easy to re ad and less cluttered, and they are also easier to comprehend than spread out paragraphs. At the end of the cover letter, use strong, bold font to reinforce your call to action. Make sure that you use a bold typeface and bold font for the bolded portions of the letter.Strong italicized text will always make your resume stand out. It will immediately draw a person's attention to your cover letter, making them scan over it and find what they are looking for. Never underline your text, as this can make the document difficult to read. Finally, there are many creative touches that you can make to your resume cover letter. It is important that you stand out, but at the same time it is also important that you make it easy for a potential employer to see the qualities that they are seeking. You can improve upon these areas with a little extra effort.
